I am looking for a job working with children because I feel that I now have the ability to enjoy working with children on a daily basis. I have previous experience in childcare including working a couple of day nurseries and I use to organise a Beaver colony group for children aged 6 -8yrs and would welcome the opportunity to have employment and continue developing my childcare skills in a setting that is both challenging and rewarding. I would like the chance to demonstrate my skills and abilities to potential employer. I am extremely hardworking, punctual, reliable and trustworthy.

September 2010 :– John Buckley’s Dry Cleaners

·  My Job at John Buckley’s dry cleaners is ironing shirts. I am in control of the shirt machine and then finishing the shirts after they have been on the machine. I also do a health and safety check on the tumble dryer and washing machine and I clean under the tumble dryer. On occasions I fold sheets, iron pillow cases and put trousers on the machine.

November 2009 – December 2009:- Dreamtime events – Christmas elf

·  In the Grotto I was working with a small team to run the experience for the children visiting Santa. My duties included welcoming customers, taking photos, cash handling and making key rings and magnets.

January 2008 – July 2008:- Active Angels Day nursery- Nursery Nurse

·  My responsibilities as a nursery nurse included looking after the children according to the nursery policies and procedures and the parents requirements which was achieved by communicating within a team. My main duties included planning some activities, dealing with the children’s medical requipments, toilet changing and feeding. I also gained a paediatric First Aid qualification, Food Hygiene and Health and Safety certificate completed through the company.

May 2007 – November 2007:- Asquith Day Nursery – Nursery Nurse

·  In this day nursery my responsibilities includes providing a safe and loving atmosphere for the children according to the company’s policies and procedures. The parents also stated how they wanted their children looked after. The roles included providing activities inside and out, toilet changing and feeding.

·  During this employment I worked at different schools providing childcare for hours out of school according with the company rules. The duties included establishing activities providing refreshments. Organising the room for setting up and clearing away.

Hobbies

I design and make cards, I also enjoying scrapbooking, jigsaws and cross stitching. I run a Beaver colony (9th Solihull St. Augustine’s) on a Friday evening this includes planning and running the sessions on the night. It also includes a first aid response qualification.
