The Parliament of Victoriaenacts:

Land (Revocation of Reservations) Act 2007
No. 45 of 2007
1Purposes
The purposes of this Act are—
(a)to revoke the permanent reservation of the bed and banks of Lake Condah for the purposes of transferring that land to the Gunditjmara people;
(b)to revoke the permanent reservation and related Crown grant of the Roman Catholic Orphan Asylum at South Melbourne;
(c) to revoke a reservation for asylum purposes of land at Daylesford to facilitate the sale of the land;
(d) to revoke a reservation for benevolent asylum purposes of land at Beechworth and the related Crown grant to facilitate the sale of surplus land;
(e) to provide for related matters.
2Commencement
s. 2
This Act comes into operation on the day after the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
3Revocation of reservation—LakeCondah land
The Order in Council specified in item 1 of Schedule 1 is revokedto the extent that it applies to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule2.
4Revocation of reservation and Crown grant—Orphan Asylum atSouth Melbourne
(1)The Order in Council specified in item 2 of Schedule 1 is revoked to the extent that it applies to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule3.
(2)Crown grant Volume 2139 Folio 771 is revoked to the extentthat it applies to the land shown hatched onthe plan in Schedule3.
(3)The Roman Catholic Trusts Corporation for the Diocese of Melbourne ceases to be a trustee of the land shown hatched onthe plan in Schedule3.
5Revocation of reservation—Daylesford land
s. 5
The Order in Council specified in item 3 of Schedule 1 is revoked to the extentthat it applies to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule4.
6Revocation of reservation—FormerBeechworthHospital land
(1)The Order in Council specified in item 4 of Schedule 1 is revoked to the extentthat it applies to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule5.
(2)Crown grant Volume 244 Folio 652 is revoked to the extentthat it applies to the land shown hatched on the plan in Schedule5.
7Consequences of revoking reservations
On the revocation of an Order in Council reserving land—
(a)that land is deemed to be unalienated land of the Crown, freed and discharged from all trusts, limitations, reservations, restrictions, encumbrances, estates and interests; and
(b)the appointment of any committee of management of that land is revoked to the extent that it relates to that land; and
(c)any regulations under section 13 of the CrownLand (Reserves) Act 1978 are revoked to the extent that they apply to that land.
8Registrar of Titles to make necessary amendments
The Registrar of Titles must make any recordings in or amendments to the Register under the Transfer of Land Act 1958 that are necessary because of the operation of any provision of this Act.
