The School Holiday Program is a fun, inclusive and flexible program for children aged 5—12years who are attending primary school. A range of activities and experiences are on offereveryday
that build upon your child’s skills, knowledge and understanding, as well as their curiosityand imagination.
Professional and qualified staff are on hand to help children build their cooperation skills,respect and independence, all the while ensuring they enjoy their holidays in a safe, fun and welcoming environment.

Corangamite Water watch will bring water bugs from Cowies creekto
us so we can discover the diversity and abundance of animals, and how they reflect with water quality. We will learn about the importance ofgood waterway health, and reduction of litter, for the fish, birds and frogs in creeks and Corio Bay. Lots of other centre based activities on offertoo!

Get ready for a fun-filled day at the Wool Museum where we will be seeing both the Wildlife of Gondwana Dinosaur and Horrible Histories Pirate exhibits. We will then have a casual stroll down to the library for arelaxing afternoon. Don’t forget your membership card if you haveone.

Lets go for a walk down to visit the local Bunning’s store for an exciting holiday time DIY workshop session in store. In the afternoon Ruth will be showing us some essential lifesaving skills including resuscitation (CPR)and basic first aid workshop (no certificate) always something handy to know in case of emergencies! Public transport expedition! Today we will be using only public transport to make our way from the centresup to Melbourne, there we will check out the ACMI centre and get immersed in the screen worlds exhibition, head over for a picnic lunch in the park enjoy a visit to Birrarung Marrplayground.

Visit to Teesdale Primary School garden for setting up ‘no dig’ garden beds, planting vegetables, weeding, harvesting, exploring, chook feeding, egg collecting, then preparation of food from our harvest in the kitchen. Come dressed up as a superhero or cartoon character!! Doesn’t matter if you can draw or not! Steve Mayhew author/ illustrator will be running a workshop to teach us some great techniques and build yourskills!
Make comic strips and look like you are flying through the city doing yourbest superhero pose for photos on abackdrop!
Lets get groovy with our tie dye activity today. Bring along a white t-shirt, bandana, pillow case or pair of socks and we will experiment with different techniques to make them bright and colourful! We will also have some Easter arts and crafts on the gotoo!
Hello Japan! Today we will be learning all about the Japanese culture, experience some of their local cuisine with sushi making, practice the ancient art of paper folding when we try our hands at origami and lots of other Japanesefun!!

ARRIVAL ANDDEPARTURE
For your children’s safety, anadult must sign them in on arrival and out on departure each day. ID will be required on sign out. A late fee of $45.00 per 15 minutes orpart
thereof will be charged if childrenare collected later than 6.00pm to cover staffwages.
STAFF TO CHILDRATIO
The School Holiday Program operates within the following minimum staffing to childratios:
•1:15 atcentre.
•1:12 on excursions, 1:10/1:8 high risk excursions.
•1:5 during swimming/water activities.
TRANSPORT
All excursion buses are booked through McHarrysBuslines. Where stated community buses or council cars may be used. Children may walk or ride for some excursions. This is stated at theprogram.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING?
Children need to bring a healthy play lunch, lunch, afternoon tea, fruit and a ‘named’ drink each day (no soft drinks). Please ensure that children bring food which does not require refrigerating or heating. If your child has any allergies or reactions to certain foods please let the program supervisor know. The program is a nut free zone. Appropriate clothing should be worn(comfortableclothes) during the program. Araincoat
must be packed for unexpected wet weather. Appropriate footwear is also required (no thongs orsinglets).
BE SUNSMART – SEPTEMBER TO APRIL PROGRAMS
The City of Greater Geelong Sun smart policy will be enforced from September through toApril (inclusive). Please providea
wide brimmed hat for your child. Sunscreenprovided.
ADMINISTERINGMEDICATION
Medical conditions must be outlined in the enrolment information for each child, where applicable. Current medical action plans must beupdated submitted each yeartogether
with a risk minimisationplan where necessary. All medication must be signed in and given to staff each day. All medication must be in the original package labelledwith the Child’s name clearly identified. All medication must be within its use bydate.
BEHAVIOUR/CONDUCT
The SHP staff work with families to support positive behaviour of all children in theprogram.
PRIVACYSTATEMENT
Personal information collected on the enrolment form is used for the purpose of program enrolment and statistical recording. Information may be shared with fundingagencies
and administrators for operational purposes only. The information will notbedisclosedtoanyotherparty except as required bylaw.
CHILD CARE BENEFIT
Families may be eligible for Child Care Benefit (CCB). To register for CCB please contact the Family
Assistance Office (FAO) on 13 61 50. Note: CCB is means tested. Families may be able to have the Child Care Rebate (CCR) paid to service. Please contact FAO for furtherinformation.

3.After lodging your enrolmentform
you are obliged to pay for All DAYS ticked regardless of non- attendance or sickness unless cancellation is received in writing by 5pm Monday 27March.
4.A confirmation letter andinvoice will be issued via email within 7 days of enrolling. An invoice is confirmation your child/ren are enrolled in the program. Fees must be paid prior to attending the program or care will not be available.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations are required inwriting to . If a cancellation is received prior to 5pm Monday 27 March 2017fees
related to that booking will no longer be charged and this will beconfirmed by the City of Greater Geelong. If you do not have a response by the 25 March 2017, please contact 5272 4741. Cancellations received after Monday 27 March 2017 at 5pm will be charged at the dailyfee.
There will be NO REFUNDS or exchange of days. Fees will still apply even if care is notused.

You will receive an estimated invoice which will contain payment information. Payments arerequired prior to attending theprogram.
