Hello Archer Tigers,
The Tiger Baseball coaching staff is very excited about the opportunity we have before us. Building a championship baseball program will be a very challenging, yet rewarding experience. We look forward to working with each of you, helping you to become better baseball players, and more importantly, responsible, hard-working young men.
We plan on having two teams during our inaugural season, a varsity team and a freshman team. The varsity team will play a region 8-AAA schedule against other varsity competition. Our freshman team will compete against other freshman teams in and around Gwinnett County.
We all have a lot of work to do in preparation for this upcoming season, but the first order of business will be summer baseball. The summer season will enable the coaching staff to observe all prospective players, as well as implement our system so that we will all be on the same page next spring. This first summer will be extremely important for our young program.

More specific times will be posted on the Archer High School Website at a later date.
Our summer activities will only take place during the month of June. As of right now, we do not know how many teams we will have this summer because we do not know how many student-athletes are interested in participating. We will definitely field one team and if enough players come out, we may have two. As you can see, we will be having two separate weeks for practice and three weekends where we will be playing in tournaments. We will have approximately 6-8 practices and about 12-15 games this summer. At this point, we do not know where we will hold our practices. Our home field will not be done in time for summer baseball, so we will have to borrow the field of a nearby high school.
Because of the many expenses that go along with summer baseball, every player will be charged a fee of approximately $250. Every player will be given a summer league jersey and a hat. We will ask the players, however, to furnish their own white baseball pants, belts, socks and equipment.
ALL PLAYERS MUST HAVE A COMPLETED PHYSICAL AND PROOF OF INSURANCE ON FILE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO GET A PHYSICAL AT ARCHER HIGH SCHOOL ON APRIL 21ST AT 6:00.
