Greetings again Mansfield Quality Pro's,
SPRING finally arrived. What a welcome relief!
Well, May is the last month of our "school year". So if you have been meaning to attend an ASQ meeting/tour this "year", this is your last opportunity until Fall. And we DON"T want to think about Fall now!
Our Mansfield section hasn't focused on the Health Care industry for a while. But this month we have an excellent opportunity to look at maintaining Quality in a hospital. And if Quality isn't important in a hospital, then where is it important? Try to be available for our May tour of Mansfield Medcentral on Thursday, May 14th.
Please call or email Caryn by this Thursday afternoon(May 7) if you can attend (& get .3 free ru's!).
Even though we won't be having meetings in June, July, or August, I will still be checking emails and passing along info to our members. So if you change your email address, or if you move, or if you come across some local Quality job opportunity, let me know via email is preferred.

General Info about Med Central:
MedCentral Health System, a non-profit organization, was created January 1, 1996. With about 2,550 employees, we are the largest employer in the six-county area we serve. Our active medical staff numbers over 200 - 78 percent of whom are board certified - representing a complete range of primary care and specialty practices.
We are the largest medical provider between Cleveland and Columbus, serving primarily Richland, Crawford, Ashland, Morrow, Huron and Knox counties.
We are comprised of two general, acute care hospitals:MansfieldandShelby, with a combined total of 351 beds and 42 bassinets. The largest, Mansfield Hospital with 326 beds, offers a Level II Trauma Center and a LevelII Perinatal Department.

The facility ships merchandise and other product for all domestic BBW store locations, including locations in Puerto Rico and Hawaii. As part of the tour we will also walk through the shipping facility attached to DC7 which ships the product to the various delivery agents and our store locations throughout the country.

Welcome back Quality Associates for our end of the year get together tour at the Med-Central Hospital on May 14th, 2015!
Well Cavalier FANS LeBron James WILL lead them to the NBA Championship Series this year! Be sure to root the Cavaliers on to victory!
Also, begin thinking or even suggesting possible speakers or tours for the upcoming ASQ Section 0811 calendar of events starting in September!
I just took my grandchildren, wife, daughter & her husband through the Ohio State Reformatory this past weekend & I was thinking possibly a guided tour during the Halloween season would be AWESOME!

9.) NOPA stands for the Northcentral Ohio Personnel Association. It has about 135 members
from Ashland / Richland and surrounding counties. NOPA is an affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management.
They meet at the Westbrook Country Club and begin at 11:30 am and end around 1:00 pm. The cost is $10 for NOPA members and $12 for guests.
