The United States Peace Corps/Madagascar is recruiting for the following position:

ONE (1) LANGUAGE AND CROSS-CULTURE COORDINATOR (LCC)
The Language and Cross-Culture Coordinator (LCC) designs, implements, and evaluates a sequence of learning activities that enable Peace Corps Trainees (PCTs) and Peace Corps Volunteers (PCVs) to develop language acquisitions skills, communicate effectively in Malagasy, and successfully work in Madagascar. The incumbent reports to the Training Manager and onward to the Director of Programming and Training (DPT).
The duties of the LCC include, but are not limited to:
-  Develop objectives, learning aides, and assessments for the language and cross-culture programs based on discussions with core PC staff.
-  Supervise the implementation of language and cross-culture programs, including daily activities of Language and Cross-Culture Facilitators.
-  Coordinating strategic and efficient use of training resources including materials, budgets, and staff recruitments.
-  Providing ongoing support and feedback to PCTs and PCVs, staff, and tutors.
The LCC position is full time. For approximately 8 months each year, the LCC will work from and be lodged at the training site, outside of Antananarivo; for the remainder of the year, the LCC will work in the Antananarivo office. The LCC will participate in training and social activities on a daily basis with staff, trainees, and temporary hires.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
-  Minimum license degree (Bac +3) in subjects related to education, linguistics, sociology, or a closely related field; a higher degree is preferred.
-  Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the candidate’s field of specialty
-  Three (3) years’ implementing high-quality language training for non-native speakers including designing learning aids.
-  Three (3) years’ experience using English for oral presentations to large audiences, in written reports, and/or applying technical guidance
-  Two (2) years’ experience training design, implementation and evaluation.
-  Demonstrated computer skills to include knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
STRONGLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-  Experience working with Americans and an understanding of American culture
