SUPERVISED DRIVING LOG / DL-008A

A licensed parent or legally appointed guardian who has a valid driver’s license may use this log as a tool to track the required 40 hours of supervised driving practice (10 hours must be night driving) for their teen. The supervised driving practice is in addition to the driver training requirements. The use of this log is optional and is provided for your convenience. This supervised driving practice requirement cannot be completed by a driver training school, another family member or friend, it must be done by the teen’s licensed parent or legally appointed guardian. If the teen does not have a licensed parent or legally appointed guardian who can fulfill this obligation then the teen does not qualify for a conditional or restricted license in accordance with SC Code of Law Section 56-1-175 and 56-1-180.
