June 29, 2015 SCBAA Meeting Minutes

Attendance: Adam Hirtz, Josh Toal, Wendy Box, Tammy Buehler, Sean Dean, Robert Gould, Kyle Brown, Chris Williams, Mike Murray, John Piskulich

Opening Prayer (Adam)

Old Business:

*Gym Entrance Remodel Update: John Piskulich continuing to work on foyer. Waiting on Father John to approve a church logo so the process of replacing the etched Bobcat can be replaced with the aforementioned logo.

*Golf Tournament Wrap Up: 30 teams were fielded; great feedback from golfers and Bogey Hills. Overall it was a huge success for SCBAA and newer golfers/parishioners are involved.

New Business:

*Soccer/Volleyball: numbers were reported as to date for registration. Official registration closes on July 19th. Any player needing new uniforms (which SCBAA does not have in stock) will be going through Johnny Macs from here on out.

*Adam Hirtz’ final meeting as current SCBAA president will take place on August 24. The board will take a vote on the submitted names to take his place. He has submitted his final task list to be completed/discussed by August: 1)Update SCBAA bylaws; 2)Finalize Gym Entrance; 3)Stage Door Repair; 4)Gym Floor Repairs; 5)Electronic School Sign; 6) wheels on basketball cages need replaced; 7)storage closet has moldy tiles

*Proposed “Dunk Tank” to be used/run by the SCBAA at the parish picnic

*Discussed changing CYC “Coordinator” to CYC Representative

*Proposed SCB/St. Louis Ambush soccer camp fundraiser: August 3-7 (4pm-8pm) McNair Field 7 (Tj Slattery to be handling)

*Sports Reports:

Soccer: Equipment returned, “Coach it Right” Soccer clinic (free for coaches and parents), schedule coaches meetings early (hopefully before rosters set)

Volleyball:

Track: looking for more help/volunteers from parents so it can run more efficiently at various levels/individual events

Baseball: Many rainouts have occurred this season.

Encouraging parents to use CYC St. Charles app for rainout communication.

Basketball: Nick Hester has been suggested to shadow Robert Gould this upcoming season as Robert looks to resign his position after this next ’15-’16 season Robert is looking into a few bids to replace school/parish basketball hoops.

Golf: Will Gould placed in City-County championships representing SCB.
