TheCollegecannotandwillnottolerateanyformofacademicdishonestybyitsstudents. Thisincludes,butisnotlimitedtocheatingonexaminations,plagiarism,orcollusion(explainedbelow).

Cheatingonanexaminationincludes:

1.Copyingfromanother'spaper,anymeansofcommunicationwithanotherduringanexamination,givingaidtoorreceivingaidfromanotherduringanexamination;

2.Usinganymaterialduringanexaminationthatisunauthorizedbytheproctor;

3.Takingorattemptingtotakeanexaminationforanotherstudentorallowinganotherstudenttotakeorattempttotakeanexaminationforoneself.

4.Using,obtaining,orattemptingtoobtainbyanymeansthewholeoranypartofanot-yet-administeredexamination.

Plagiarismistheunacknowledgedincorporationofanother'sworkintoworkwhichthestudentoffersforcredit.

Collusionistheunauthorizedcollaborationofanotherinpreparingworkthatastudentoffersforcredit.

StudentResponsibilityRegardingAcademicDishonesty

1)StudentswhochoosetotaketheriskassociatedwithscholasticdishonestyandanyotherviolationoftheCodeofStudentConductandDisciplinemustassumeresponsibilityfortheirbehaviorandaccepttheconsequences.TheseconsequencesaredescribedonthebackofthisstatementandelsewhereincludingUTApoliciesandclasssyllabi. Inanacademiccommunity,thestandardsforintegrityarehigh.
