Our UK headquarters are based centrally in Maidenhead, Berkshire, conveniently near to the train station for direct links to London, and very close to the M4, M40 and the M3. We also have an extensive Operations team, who are field based.

Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis this role will play a critical role in strengthening the UK financial discipline, by providing key financial insight that will help drive the local company’s strategic decisions in line with global priorities, financial forecasts, and operating plans. As a key member of the UK team, he/she will further strengthen our internal analysis and provide support, insight, commercial rigor and analysis to the business with specific focus on the UK Operations. The individual will work with the Manager, FP&A to further develop worldwide best practices for business partnering and support.
As part of the UK middle management tier based in Maidenhead, the individual will meet regularly with both regional managers and other senior management, attending regional meetings. Some travel will be expected.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform regular review and analytical assessment of WW UKresults vs. forecast/plan to UK Finance team including assistance with the preparation of quarterly review material required by US Corporate Finance (Operations focus)
- Working primarily with the Operations team in driving the company’s planning process including annual operating plans, regular re-estimates and long-term forecasts. Support the preparation of financial information required for operational reviews/presentations made by the UK Management team.
- Working with thebusiness owners (and Lines of Business) to facilitate effective planning inputs and analysis of past activities to inform future trends. This will help to ensure there is a working financial knowledge and understanding amongst the business owners.
- Provide commercially sound financial analysis to projects with a view to ensuring cost efficiencies, commercial viability, operational capability and financial/audit controls.
- Proactively support corporate aims through strengthening processes and financial accounting procedures as well as enhancing system capabilities and automation. Ensure internal controls and processes comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Provide in depth analysis and insight to the drivers of business performance, liaising with the Head of Reporting to ensure appropriate level of reporting and analysis is available to the UK Operations team.
Skills
We seek a strategic, polished businessanalyst with excellent written and oral communication skills, who has the skills to be an effective member of the finance team faced with the challenges of supporting the increasing demand for financial information and analytical support within a growing UK business.
Should possess at least 5 years of business experience in financial planning, budgeting and analysis that include excellent analytical skills. A combination of functional financial experience including planning, analysis, decision support and partnering, as well as a more traditional corporate finance at an operating level would be useful, as would practical experience in a US owned subsidiary of a public company. Ideally, the successful candidate will have also gained experience in other areas of the business outside of finance.
Interpersonally, the successful candidate will have proven analytic and quantitative decision-making skills that they understand how to communicate in a collaborative manner that clearly signals genuine respect for historic ideas and existing procedures. Excellent communication skills, which include demonstrated skill as a listener, are a must, including the ability to interface effectively with senior staff and line executives. It is critical that the successful candidate be comfortable operating within a positive culture, one that values working with in collaborative, challenging and consultative environment. While personal initiative, drive and candor are highly valued, they must be effective contributing to a team-oriented environment.
The candidate must have the ability to think differently, to question issues and be unafraid to ask challenging questions. They must demonstrate thoughtful approach to problem solving. As well as being an energetic team player, he/she must be able to use his/ her own initiative, prioritise and manage workload under pressure.
A qualifiedaccountant with excellent Excel skills is required. Experience with Oracle and/or Hyperion Enterprise would also be beneficial.
