Student Locker Rental: Terms and Conditions
Student Lockers are available in the main corridor of the academy to allow students to store items such as books and PE kit for lessons they will be attending later in the day, rather than carrying everything with them for the whole day.
Keys
- One key will be supplied for each locker by the academy’s Finance Department.
- A master key will be held by the academy.
- If a student loses his/her key, he/she should notify the staff in the Finance Department. A replacement key can be ordered at a cost of £3.50 to the parents/carers. The locker will be opened for the student on the day of notification of the loss to allow the student access to their belongings. They will be notified when the replacement key has been obtained.
- Keys to lockers must not be passed or loaned to any other student under any circumstances.
Access
- Students may access their lockers before and after the academy day and at break and lunchtime.
- Students are expected to access the locker areas for the purpose of going to and from their locker only. These areas are not to be used for communal meeting or other purposes.
- The academy reserves the right to access any locker at any time for any reason using its master key.
Misuse etc
- The academy reserves the right to withdraw the use of the locker at any time due to misuse, vandalism or any other reason. In such circumstances, parents/carers will be advised and no refund of fees paid for the current term or in advance will be made.
- All costs of repairing or replacing lockers withdrawn due to misuse, vandalism or any other reason will be met by parents/carers.
- The lockers are for the sole exclusive use of the key holder and must not be shared with any other student on either a formal or informal basis.
- Once a locker has been allocated, it must not be swapped or exchanged with any other student, even for a short period of time. If a student would prefer a locker in a different location, he/she should advise the staff in the Finance Department.
- The academy accepts no responsibility for the safety of the contents within the locker at any time. Students are expected to take responsibility for the safety of the items placed in the lockers.
- Lockers must not be decorated in any way. Posters, paintings, drawings etc. are not allowed to be attached to either the inside or outside of the locker at any time.
- The academy policy currently in place relating to bringing mobile telephones and other similar items of value remains in place and lockers are not to be used for the purpose of storing these items.
