Harbor City / Harbor City Teachers, Administrators and Staff will work collaboratively to examine the Florida Standards in order to prioritize standards and design curriculum units and increase their knowledge of the Understanding by Design framework which focuses on helping students come to an understanding of important ideas, gain acquisition of knowledge and skills, and show transfer of their learning to new situations.
We will continue to implement Positive Behavior Support to increase time for teaching and learning. This year we will add Tier II PBS interventions to meet the behavior needs of students who need further support through the Multi-Tiered System of Support.
Teachers will use individual student feedback sessions to help students better focus on what they need to know and what they should be able to do as a result of the instruction they are receiving. /

Stevenson, RL / (An excerpt) Stevenson is going to adopt school-wide the idea of the Three E’s of Effective Sentences which will help student writers to evaluate sentence construction. A part of Stevenson’s writing goal that will be developed in our “scales” work will be to infuse writing as a part of the student’s work where they must provide evidence to support their knowing how to solve the mathematical problem and not only “figure out” the problem (algorithm). Continuing into the third year using the Literacy Design Collaborative Framework, Stevenson will continue to recreate modules that have been used in the past as well as to develop new ones that bring better quality instruction for students. /
