Denver Ballet School offers on-site ballet classes created for children, encouraging physical development and coordination as well as the love of the art.
Once each week the instructor visits the school for a 45-minute class. Students learn the French terminology of ballet steps in the
centre and across the floor exercises. Using our imaginations makes stretching fun and creative. We learn the music, dances, and stories of the classics.
Instructors
Susan West Hull trained with Mocelyn Larkin and Roman Jasinski of the Ballet Russe. She was a member of the Tulsa Ballet, and continued with the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, and with New York City Ballet II in Zurich, Switzerland. Susan studied and performed with Nadia Tikhanova and Serge Kosadiev at Colorado Ballet, where she was Repetitieur and Instructor. She studied and performed with Marat Daukayev (Kirov), Los Angeles. Susan is Artistic Director of Denver Ballet and Director of Denver Ballet School. An Education major
at the University of Oklahoma, she was staff teacher at St. Pius X School. She is a graduate of Lee Strasburg Theatre Institute, New York and Los Angeles.

Clothing
Available at Dance Extreme (“Dancewear”), Penny Robin, Cherry Creek Dance, or look Online or in the Yellow Pages under “Dance Supplies”
Girls: Light pink tights and ballet slippers. Long hair should be in a bun or ponytail.
Pre-School: Light Pink leotard School Age: Light Blue leotard
Boys: Black bike pants, white T-shirt, black or white ballet slippers
Parent Viewing Days
Parents are invited to watch class for an informal in-house Recital Each May and December.
Holidays
Classes will not meet during the holidays: Thanksgiving, Winter Holidays, Spring Break, and July 4th.
Registration and Tuition
Registration Fee is $10. Tuition for the session is discounted if paid in full. Otherwise tuition is due the first of the month. There is a $10
Late Fee for payments made after the 5th. Billing envelopes are sent home the final class of each month. Tuition is pro-rated only for
Students enrolling for the first time in the middle of the semester. No refunds are available.
Missed Classes
Missed classes may be made up during the session on Mondays at 5:30 p.m. at our studio at
100 Colorado Blvd., 1st Ave. & Colorado Blvd, within the Church of the Epiphany (Cherry Creek North/Hilltop).
