SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must be a resident of Pickford Public School District, Les Cheneaux Community School District, Detour Area School District, or Rudyard Area School District. (Past graduates, home-schooled and private school students of the four designated districts are eligible to apply.)
  • Student must be planning to attend an accredited college or university majoring in a field of Engineering. Preference will be given, but not limited to the following engineering fields: Metallurgical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Geological/Mining.
  • Applicant must be willing to participate in an interview with the Scholarship Selection Committee.

REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS TO APPLICATION

  • High School Transcript listing all classes taken and grades received9th through 12th grade.
  • ACT Score: IndividualEnglish, Mathematics, Reading, Science plus Composite. SAT scores are an acceptable alternative.
  • Class Rank.
  • An essay explaining students desired career choice and future plans (not to exceed one typed page).
  • A list of extracurricular activities- school, community and home related
  • List hobbies and leisure time activities.
  • A statement of your work experience and Parent’s occupations.
  • A statement of not more than ½ page of why you should be granted this scholarship.
  • Three written references from non-relative individuals. (Please do not include more than one reference from your school). References should include a contact phone number and or email address.
