DST- INSPIRE INTERNSHIP CAMP-2017

We are happy to inform that we are going to conduct a residential Science Camp of INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) Internship Program, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi.

The main theme of the programme is, inculcating the importance of science among the school students, nourish the curiosity of students in Science, help themselves to develop scientific approach and attract them at an early age of 16-17 years (i.e. XI standard) into science subjects to build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding the Science & Technology system of our country.

Highlights of the Science Camp

Lectures related to all Science Streams (by Bhatnagar Awardees & Renowned Professors)

Experimental sessions and discussions during the practical classes in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology and Biotechnology Laboratories

Entertainment and Games

The Science camp will be held from 08.02.2017 to 12.02.2017at AYYA NADAR JANAKI AMMAL COLLEGE (AUTONOMOUS), SIVAKASI for XI standard students.

To apply for this Camp, the students should have the following eligibility framed by Department of Science and Technology. Hence, I request you to kindly permit your XI standard students with the following eligibility to apply for the above science camp. The last date for submission of Registration Form is on or before 20.01.2017.

Applicants Eligibility Criteria

Minimum mark to apply is 471 out of 500 in X standard

a) Top one percent ranking in the X Board Examination (for all Boards)

(Top 1% Percentage Cut-Off Marks (State Board: 94.2% (471/500); CBSE=99.6% (CGPA = A1); ICSE: 95.0 %)

b) Pursuing Science in standard XI

c) Not attended a similar Science Camp elsewhere earlier

d) Participating students should be within Tamil Nadu State
