DISCIPLINE PLAN

GOAL: to provide a learning-oriented classroom through a respectful, trusting, and caring environment.

SOLUTION: RESPECT, PARTICIPATION, AND COOPERATION BY EVERYONE!

ANY inappropriate behavior will warrant the following discipline plan:

1.A verbal warning will be given to the student(s). (Student's name may be placed on the board so that the student and teacher can remember that a warning was given)

2.Detention after school may be scheduled. Students may have duties around the classroom deemed by the teacher during their detention. (Example: clean desk tops and chairs; pick up trash, clean-out desk "cubby" holes, etc.)

3. Parent(s)/guardian(s) will be contacted and informed of the repeated problem.

4.Office referral.

*Sleeping in class: one warning may be given, but not always. Student(s) may be asked to stand in the back of the classroom to "wake-up" the student.

*Electronic devices: one warning may be given, but not always. Electronic devices will be taken away from student and turned into the office. Using electronic devices in class during a quiz or test will elicit an automatic "zero" on the quiz or test and an automatic office referral (no warnings will be given- consider this syllabus as a warning!).
