Appendix 1 Zooxanthellae clades of A. cervicornis and M.faveolata by zone. Knowing the collection zone reduces the error rate of predicting zooxanthellae clades in A. cervicornis samples by about 37% compared to chance alone (Goodman and Kruskal Tau test, p < 0.001). Knowing the collection zone reduces the error rate of predicting zooxanthellae clades in M.faveolata samples by about 3% compared to chance alone (Goodman and Kruskal Tau test, p < 0.05).
