What is PBS?

Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is a school-wide behavior model that is proactive, educative, and

reinforcement based.

·  Proactive: PBS prevents

inappropriate behaviors by

developing consistent

procedures.

·  Educative: The PBS model

teaches students appropriate

behaviors through continuous modeling and practice of expectations.

·  Reinforcement-Based:

Students are consistently

rewarded for demonstrating

appropriate behaviors.

PBS significantly reduces problem

behaviors in the school, resulting in

a positive school culture.
