TCO AGENT INSTALLATION GUIDE
A) How To Turn Off Firewall for Windows XP Service Pack 2
1. Click on [Start] button in user’s computer and select [Control Panel].
2. Click on [Switch to Classic View] if the display screen of Control Panel is as below.
3. Double-click on [Windows Firewall] icon.
4. Click on the radio button [Off (not recommended)] in Windows Firewall properties page.
5. Click on [Exceptions] tab inside Windows Firewall properties.
Check and highlight on [File and Printer Sharing] service with [ü].
6. Next, go to [Advanced] tab, and click on [Settings] under ICMP selection.
7. Check and highlight on [Allow incoming echo request] service with [ü] in the list as shown on diagram below.
B) How to configure Local Security Policy for Windows XP
1. Go to Control Panel and select Administrative Tools. And then double-click on [Local Security Policy] icon.
2. Select [Security Options] from Local Policies under the Security Settings tree.
Double-click on the policy [Accounts: Limit local account use of blank password].
3. Change the Local Security Setting to [Disabled]. (Default setting of this policy is Enabled)
Click on [OK] button to complete the changes.
4. Select and configure on another policy in Local Security Setting.
Double-click on the policy [Network access: Sharing and security model for local accounts].
5. Change the Local Security Setting to [Classic – local users authenticate as themselves]
(Default setting for this policy is Guest only – local users authenticate as Guest)
Click on [OK] button to complete the changes.
C) Agent Installation Guide
1. Locate Sysloader.exe and Sysloader.cpl (Both must be together)
2. Execute Sysloader.exe
