2011 MHSA MEMBER SCHOOL SELF-ASSESSMENT SURVEY

This self-assessment instrument measures each member school’s compliance with the Ridgeway Settlement Agreement and other gender equity standards. As directed by the Federal Court in the final judgment from the Ridgeway et.al. case, the MHSA “shall initiate and enforce proceduresfor all its member schools to complete and submit periodic self-assessment surveys.”

This year’s survey is written in consideration of specific items listed in the Ridgeway Settlement Agreement, general questions referenced in the OCR investigators’ manual, and other issues that have evolved in Montana’s high school athletics programs. Certain items reference schools’ total programs and others are specific to sports or to levels of competition.

Please use your 2010-2011 data to complete the survey questions. Submission of this self-assessment to the MHSA office is required by June 1, 2011.
