Position: Business Intelligence Lead

Location: Naas, Co. Kildare

Remuneration:60-70K

The Job:

OpenSky are an IT Consultancy company with a large portfolio of BI services and projects across a wide range of customers and business domains. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Lead with strong experience of Microsoft Technologies, and excellent leadership and communication skills. This opportunity will enable you to remain close to the latest technological innovations in BI and Analytics technology, gaining on-going exposure to emerging technologies within the Microsoft eco-system and beyond.

The Business Intelligence Lead will be responsible for the technical direction of the BI team within OpenSky. The core focus of the team will be delivering strategies, designs and solutions to our customers, using the latest Microsoft technologies and utilising the full MS BI Stack, from SQL Server to Power BI.

You will have an in-depth understanding of data and will have experience of the full SDLC for business intelligence. You will have the ability to work across technically diverse projects and multiple business domains.

You will work with BI Consultants, BI Engineers, QA and support teams, in a structured ISO9001 accredited environment, in accordance with an Agile development methodology.

You will be capable of working directly with customers, and will enable them to realise strategic, technological goals through the use of the latest on-premise and cloud based BI technologies.

You will bring innovation to the company’s business intelligence strategy. You will mentor BI Engineers and work closely with Subject Matter Experts.

The Fit:

Required

You will have 5+ years’ experience working as a team lead/mentoring role

Experience of working with customers/data consumers

Full exposure to BI SDLC, including:

  • ETL
  • Staging
  • Data Warehousing, Kimball Methodology
  • OLAP Design
  • Report Design

Deep understanding of SQL

Experience of SSIS

Experience of SSAS

Experience with SQL Tabular Technologies (Power Pivot and/or SSAS Tabular)

Power View

Strong Excel Expertise

Have a high level of energy and enthusiasm, and passion for innovation

Be highly organised with excellent documentation skills

Performance Tuning

Strong troubleshooting skills

Advantageous:

Exposure to Agile Methodologies

Knowledge of Statistics

Data Mining and/or data science

The R Language

Exposure to the use of SharePoint on-premise as BI Front-End

Power BI/Power BI Preview (Power Map, Power Query, Power Q&A, Revolution Analytics)
