14) Soap, towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, case and strap for glasses if you wear them.

17) Medication if you take it daily or need it in emergencies, such as an inhaler. Make sure at least one adult leader knows what this is and where it is.

19) Warm sleeping bag (rated to 20◦F) in a stuff sack lined with a plastic bag. A fleece liner for the bag is recommended. These are inexpensive and available at Walmart and similar stores.
20) Foam Pad for underneath the sleeping bag. Many styles are available.
21) Flashlight with extra batteries.
22) Pocketknife or pocket tool if you have the Tote-n-Chip. Bring your card too.
23) Scout book to get advancements signed off.
24) Pillow with case is optional but recommended.
25) Duffle bag or pack to carry these items.
26) Plastic grocery bags to keep wet or dirty items separate in your bag.
Note to scouts: Use zip top or other plastic bags to keep things organized and dry in your bag. Bring a few extra plastic bags too. Your sleeping bag, pillow, and sleeping clothes must stay dry to insure that you are not cold and wet at night! Keep each change of clothes in a separate bag. Keep small items grouped with similar items in separate small bags. The only exception is you rain gear, which should ALWAYS be near the top of the bag.
Note to parents:
- The boys MUST pack their own gear. Please help them to get everything together, and be sure to make them actually put is all in the pack or duffel. That way they should know what they have with them and where it is.
- There is NO REASON for the boys to bring extra food or snacks. There will be PLENTY of good food available. Food in tents attracts small critters that eat holes thought tent, bag, etc. to get to the items.
