1. What events or moments in your life do you feel proud of?

These don't need to be big events, such as awards or tangible achievements, which other people would see as your achievements. They may be small things, like cooking dinner for friends, or setting a personal best in a sport, or overcoming a difficult time in a relationship. What did you do in these events which has made you proud? What was the situation, and what action did you take? How did you feel before, during and after? Did anyone help you, and if so, how?

2. What are the small moments in daily life that make you feel good?

These needn't be world changing events, or the events that other people would think of as valuable. They could be meeting friends, going shopping, giving the house a good clean, or finding a great new song on the web. What is it about these things that gives you pleasure? Is anyone else with you at the time? Why are they there? Is it the activity itself or an aspect of it that you enjoy? For example, if you like meeting your friends for a coffee, is it the coffee or the conversation that most attracts you? Do you prefer meeting just one friend or several, or new people?

3. Can you imagine what sort of person you want to be in five years' time?

You don't have to know what job you will be doing, but try to imagine what sort of person you would like to be. Where will you be living? How will you dress, what will your daily routine be? Will you be alone or with others?

4. Are there any themes in what you have already written?

Do these responses reveal anything about you? Are they generally based around people, events, actions, or ideas? Can you see any patterns?
