This agreement confirms a mutual commitment on the part of Extended Campus, the unit of Instructional Design and Development, and the Academic Unit, College of ______, to deliver the______program at a distance to a statewide, national and/or international audience.

Online Program Plan

The Online Program Plan is jointly developed by the designated program’s academic unit and Instructional Design and Development and Extended Campus. The Plan provides information about the implementation of the Course or Program Plan, course rollout and delivery, course author and instructor assignments.

Note: The academic unit has responsibility for identifying authors and instructors for the courses. All course authors are assumed to be fully authorized and trusted authors for the respective courses. Nonetheless, the program’s academic unit’s leadership may wish to review any or all courses before they are offered online for the first time.

Instructional Responsibilities

The Plan presents the planned course delivery schedule. The designated academic unit has academic authority and operational responsibility for instruction.

Instructional Design and Development Responsibilities

Extended Campus’ Instructional Design and Development unit agrees to take responsibility for the instructional design and development coordination associated with course and program development, delivery and revision. The IDD team will work individually and as a group with faculty of the specific academic unit. This includes an orientation to Quality Matters, the design and development of the course or program’s online template, the orientation, support, and advisement of the individual course development by faculty. The development of each individual course, as listed in the Program Plan, is the responsibility of the faculty assigned to develop the course. As noted in the Course or Program Plan, the faculty member will receive a stipend at the culmination of the course development and Quality Matters successful review. This may require the faculty to make modifications to the course to meet QM standards after the initial review.

  • Extended CampusExecutive Director – Dr. Nancy Rubin will serve to ensure coordination among Extended Campus staff, Instructional Design and Development staff, and act as the liaison with the Academic unit.
  • Lead Faculty Member - ______is the Program Agreement faculty coordinator. Lead Faculty will serve in this role to ensure good coordination among participating faculty, academic unit leadership, and College with Extended Campus.
  • Lead Instructional Designer - ______will provide a single point of coordination between faculty and the instructional design and development resources, ensuring the finished courses meet the technical and Quality Matters requirements for delivery.
