Report to the Community
Everything we do is designed to help students learn and do well in school. To support this, our school has developed a school success plan to help students achieve to the best of their ability. This Report to the Community communicates our progress and helps us celebrate our many successes with our learning community. The report, including EQAO and report card data, is available under the ‘About Us’ section of our school website.

EQAO Literacy Test – Thursday, March 27th
The EQAO Literacy test is a requirement for graduation. Students who began secondary school in September 2012, and any senior students who are still required to write the test, will complete the test. Students writing the test are to arrive at 8:30 am. Students in other grades, who are not writing the test, will not have classes on this day. Bused students, writing the test, will be picked up at 12:30 pm. All rehearsals and practices are cancelled on this day. The Cawthra staff have implemented a wide range of supports to prepare students for success on the Literacy test. Additional supports for test preparation are available on the school website, under the Library link www.cawthrpark.com or at the EQAO website at www.eqao.com. Grade 9 and 10 students have completed a practice test and individual student results were sent home with students on Wednesday, March 5th. Cawthra has a strong commitment to literacy and the results of the EQAO Literacy test demonstrate this hard work by both students and staff.

School Success Survey
March, 2014
Dear Cawthra Park Families:
As our partner in education, your input is valued and appreciated. We recognize your involvement is critical to student success, which is why we are inviting you to complete an online survey to tell us what you think about Cawthra Park. Students and staff will also be invited to participate.
It is very important that we hear from our families, so please take a few minutes to share your thoughts about our school with us. Instructions on how to access the online survey can be found below. The online survey is available in English, as well as ten other languages spoken by Peel District School Board families. For families with more than one child at our school, please answer the questions with one of your children in mind.
The Your Voice Counts Survey is anonymous, so no one will know your answers. All of the results will be reported as a group. Once parents/guardians, students and school staff have completed the survey, we will share the results with you. The results will be used to help us best meet the needs of our students and school community, and to guide our school improvement plans.
Please complete the survey by April 30th. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact the Peel board at 905-890-1010 ext. 2512 or email .
Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Your survey responses are very important and will help us ensure Cawthra Park remains a safe and welcoming place for your child to learn and grow.
With appreciation, Wendy Lautamus, Principal
