Purpose

The Stillwater Area Fastpitch Association (commonly referred to as Stillwater Fast Pitch) was established in 1984 to promote the development of a quality, competitive level of girls fast pitch softball in the St. CroixValley Area. This program is committed to the development of potential StillwaterAreaHigh School (SAHS) softball players

1. Call To Order: 7:03pm

2. Review and approval of March Minutes: McKay and Meyer Motion, motion approved.

3. Treasurer’s Report– Gary: Balance of checking account as of March 31/2015 is $14,242.81. Savings account balance is $13,379.71.

4. High School Report – Bob:

5. Equipment Update – Tim: Will be purchasing equipment. Negotiated a reduce rate for storage from approximately $170/mo. To $153/mo. $4,300 was used for equipment.

6. Tri-County Report–Mike Gray will meet with Stu Parker to pickup the rule and score books.

7. Uniform Update–Uniform changed from Augusta back to Teamworks because of inventory problems. Samples will be available tomorrow from Streamline.

8. Fundraising Update– 43 items ordered for Spirit wear. Second run to open 4/9 and remaining open until middle of May.

9. Pony Picnic Day – Mary Gray: Scheduled for April 27th 4:15pm during varsity game.

10. Team and Coaches approvals 14U - A, 12U - A and B1, 10U - B1 and B2

11. Pre Season Coaches Meeting – April/May: Jason Djock to head the coaching meeting to educate umpire coordination. Date and time TBD.

12. Post Season Coaches Meeting: TBD for some date in August.

13. Open Forum:

- In order to forgo rental of the Dome times for Tryouts, board discussed the possibility of 12U tryouts in Fall after summer season. Recommendation is 12U tryouts to be held outside in Spring 2016. 10U evaluation to be held during gym clinics in Spring 2016.

- Discussed the possibility of 16U team for Summer 2016. Mike Meyer (16U coordinator) will look into the situation.

- Field update: Wednesday night might be taken by a unknown group at Upper Lily Lake. Schedules for April practices were given to the coordinators. Summer clinic for 6-10years old is still on schedule for mid August.

- Fastpitch exhibition game at the Huff and Puff days.

-14U players must pay the remaining registration fee before 4/19 Tryouts.
