Part-time Firefighter/EMT or Paramedic

Grays Fire District #5 is accepting applications to establish an in-house hiring eligibility list for the position of Part Time Firefighter/EMT or Paramedic. The current range is $12.50 - $15.00 an hour DOQ.

Minimum qualifications include:

1.  High school graduate or equivalent.

2.  Legally able to work in the United States

3.  Ability to read and write the English language

4.  Possess a WA. State drivers license at time of hire

5.  Good driving record and insurable

6.  Current member in good standing with call/training requirements over the las 24 months.

7.  Completion of a formal academy that meets or exceeds NFPA 1001.

8.  Currently certified or obtain WA IFSAC Firefighter 1 or WA State equivalency certification within 12 month of appointment.

9.  WA Certified EMT or Paramedic

10.  Current AHA-CPR-Basic Life Support

11.  Able to pass back ground check

12.  Able to pass medical physical

13.  Ability to work a rotating schedule, 24 hour on Duty and 120 hour off. (1 on 5 off)

Desired qualifications

1.  WA State IFSAC FF2 or higher or WA State equivalency

2.  WA State IFSAC HAZ-MAT Operations

3.  Computer skills
