Integer Battleship
Procedures:
· Place a folder on the center of the table to block view of partner’s paper.
· Each person selects 5 locations for their ships.
· Taking turns, the player calls out a set of coordinates and mark the coordinates on their paper.

Integer Addition
To complete this activity:
1. Drag into the workspace the number of positive and negative chips that correspond to the addends in the number sentence. For example, if you have 3 and -2 in the number sentence, you need to drag three positive (black) chips and two negative (red) chips into the workspace.
The object of this step is to represent the combination of positive and negative integers.
2. Click on the continue button to combine positive and negative chips.
3. Solve the problem

Integer Playing Cards
Materials: 1 deck of playing cards with the Jokers removed
Procedure:
1. Each group member pulls two cards from the deck.
2. The red cards represent a negative number and the black cards represent a positive number. Face cards have a value of 10. Aces have a value of 1.
3. Each group member should write their integer problem using an addition sign and the two cards they drew.
4. Each group member should then write their integer problem using a subtraction sign and the two cards they drew.
5. The first card drawn should be written first in the problem.
6. Once all group members have answered both of their problems, each member draws two more cards and repeats the process.
7. Continue to draw cards until each person has answered 10 problems. (5 sets of cards should have been drawn by each person)
8. Once all group members have answered their problems, students should give their paper to their neighbor to check.

Knowing the Rules of Integers can help you add and subtract.
Create a song, poster or poem to help you and your classmates learn the Integer Rules!
Addition
Rule 1: If the signs are the same, keep the signs and add the integers. examples: (+4+3= +7) (-4-3= -7)
Rule 2: If the signs are different, keep the sign of the higher number and subtract the smaller number from the larger number. examples: (+4-3 = +1) (-4+3 = -1)
