01 / Plans, implements, evaluates and promotes a balanced comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program that includes Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support components.
02 / Collaborates with school personnel, students, parents, and the community to plan, implement, evaluate, and promote continuous improvement of a developmental guidance and counseling program.

10 / Maintains and collects individual and group counseling student records and submit to Coordinator of Guidance Services and Campus Principal.
11 / Trains campus staff on child abuse and how to make referrals to Children’s Protective Services. Initiates and/or assist other campus staff in making referrals to CPS and respond to requests for information from CPS.
12 / Trains campus staff on Suicide Prevention and serves as the campus liaison for trainings and information disaggregation.
13 / Uses an effective referral process to help students and others use special programs and services.
14 / Compiles, maintains, and files all reports, records, and other documents required.
15 / Complies with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy in the area of guidance and counseling.
16 / Presents for students a positive role model that supports the mission of the school district.
17 / Maintains a positive and effective relationship with supervisors, colleagues, students and parents complying with all district and campus practices.
18 / Consults with parents, teachers, administrators, and other relevant individuals to enhance their work with students.
19 / Promotes an understanding of student development, individual behavior, and the student’s environment in order to increase the effectiveness of student education and success.
