“Mrs. Phoebe Foster, who has been a resident of this vicinity for 32 years, died at the home of Michael Jordan in Bunola on Thursday, April 4, 1895, aged 90 years. Mrs. Foster was born, grew up and married in Westmoreland county, the date of her birth being August 14, 1804. Her husband died 37 years ago. She had eight children, five of whom survive her. They are: James, Harrison, Samuel and Finley Foster and Mrs. Michael Jordan. Mrs. Foster was a member of the M.E. church and a most exemplary woman. Funeral from Mr. Jordan’s residence, Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment at Taylor’s.”
