Attendance: Melanie Nelson, Shawn Stafford, Marianne Scherzer, Ladelle Schlehr Kathy Sloan, Terri Strandlien, Rebecca Layman, JaNelle Melbo, Jenny Haman, Kristie Harmon, Margie Netland
1. Upcoming Events:
a. Roller skating Date: January 22, 2010 6-7:30pm
Chair: Melanie & Rebecca
(Work orders will be put in and the gym/caft. have been reserved for that evening- music covered as well as hooking up to the amp so all can hear- concessions (Margie) / proceeds to go towards north playground- Melanie will take care of way to border off middle section of gym for little ones safety as well as getting a liability sign-in form at doors)
b. Roller skating Date #2: February 19, 2009

c. Family Movie Date: March 19, 2009
Chair: Kathi Sloan (will bring movie list to next meeting to
start the licensing process for the show of our choice)
2. Playground Update
DONATIONS
· Rotary- $1,730.14
· Lions $500 and a commitment to help with labor as well as a possibility of donating more after Fishing Derby
· $1000 has been received from Clearwater Polk Operation Round-Up
· Marianne, Terri, Kathi, and JaNelle met with Bill Johnson from Flanigan Sales on Thursday, Dec. 17 and finalized the plan.
· Showed the committee the new 3-D drawing of the playground.
· Thank you’s will be sent to the above donors and checks were sent into the NMF by JaNelle.
· Brochure is being worked on and will email NMF and ask for their input on how to develop a brochure and what it should include when asking for donations along with a picture of the new playground plan.
· Playground sub-committee will meet the first or second week of Jan. to finalize brochure.
4. Community Education Enrichment Program
After discussion on this program, the committee agreed that a parent needs to meet with the principal and Keith Gebhardt to discuss possible arrangements to be made. The Comm. Ed. Brochure will be sent out in Jan. so if it is to meet that deadline, there would need to be a meeting soon. Marianne was going to talk to Carrie Norum to see if she would be interested in looking further into this after school programming with Keith through Comm. Ed. There seems to be many possibilities and opportunities available, just needs some clarification on who and how to arrange things.
