RULES
- We play 1-on-1 defense. Only 1 person may guard another person at a time. No double teaming!
- In order to move with the basketball, you must dribble the ball.
- Each person on your team must pass the basketball before a shot can be made
- Once you stop dribbling, you may pivot, pass or shoot. You have 5s to pass the basketball or shoot once you begin pivoting. After 5s is up, it is a turnover and the other team gets the basketball.
- A turnover occurs when:
- someone double dribbles
- someone travels
- there is a foul
- five seconds is up
- the basketball is thrown out of bounds or a player steps out of bounce
- A foul occurs when you have been pushed or your arm has been slapped or grabbed by another player. If you have the ball and are fouled, your team gets 1 point. If you do hot have the ball and you are fouled it is a turnover.
- Each basket made is 1pt
- The games starts by checking the ball at the blue line on each court
- If there is a dispute between teams, rock-paper-scissors to solve it. Winner gets possession of the basketball.
