Job Summary:
Evaluates finished products for quality and acceptability. Performs all necessary analysis as required, and according to the product specification. Ensure continuous and efficient quality control by monitoring production and sanitation procedures and processes.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Quality Assurance (QA) Technician, you will be expected to fulfill the following requirements:
· Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, finished goods, or stability samples.
· Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
· Perform visual inspections of finished products and compare them to established “gold standards”
· Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
· Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.
· Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
· Supply quality control data necessary for regulatory submissions.
· Investigate or report questionable test results.
· Follow and adhere to GMP and Food Safety policies and Procedures.
· Pre-op rotation
· Ability to adhere to USDA and FDA laws and regulations
· Monitor product and room temperatures
· Monitor production processes, identifies gaps and take immediate corrective actions
· Gather and analyze samples of products as requested
· Spot check weights to verify proper packing of products
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Monitor production area for compliance to sanitary standards, train and encourage others to meet standards
· Liaison with production line leads to seek correction on observations noted for food safety and quality defects.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Must have 1-2 years quality assurance experience in food manufacturing
· Bilingual English and Spanish highly preferred
· Knowledge of GMPs and Food Safety requirements
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to other employees, management, and customers.
· Ability to prioritize, categorize, reference, and analyze data.
· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
· Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
· Ability to discriminate between colors and shapes.
· Ability to perform repetitive motion.
