Roles
Lab Manager
· Built, maintained and supported a 400 server, multi-lab, multi-network software testing infrastructure, which utilized remote quiet rooms for console access and dirty lab for duplicating real world test scenarios.

Server Administrator
· Dramatically decreased server setup time via automated Windows and Linux OS installations, which were accomplished using PXE network booting and a PXE/tftpboot server. These were not image based deployments.
· Enhanced lab functionality significantly as a key participant creating and maintaining a IPv6 test network for 30 Windows and Linux servers. Taught myself IPv6 networking concepts and addressing via static, SAC and DHCP.
· Demonstrated advanced technical knowledge working with all types of hardware components, including RAM, hard drives, 3TB RAIDs, pci expansion chassis, pci-e cards and multi-core, multi-socket Intel Xeon Processors.
· Provided expertise with Dialogic Telephony Hardware including T1/E1 and video offload interfaces.

Test Engineer
· Performed Telecommunication software testing on multiple Windows and Linux releases utilizing well-developed organizational and problem solving skills and techniques. Responsibilities included execution of test applications, review of application logs, identification of potential bugs, representing those bugs in reports, depicting accurate record of testing progress and bug status, verifying bug resolutions, and final end-of-release quality reporting.
· Submitted over 700 software bug reports during the 7 years working in this role, this is more than any fellow tester. Product engineers respected the bug reports that I created and accepted them with confidence of validity.
· Learned and became versed in perl and shell scripting, along with advanced batch files and MS Office.
· Developed minor but often used test applications and helped develop a widely used and instrumental test automation framework using proprietary scripting languages and C along with perl and batch/shell scripts.

· Contributed as the only WebGUI test engineer, because of my known thoroughness, by testing the product’s web configuration interface in every aspect, from product functionality to user functionality.
· Contributed as the sole engineer who performed Linux OS validation testing. Because of my familiarity with Linux I tested previously released software on new Linux versions finding bugs related to the new OS version.

Early Career: PC Technician, Cable Installer
· Became an advanced support technician through assembly, initialization, installation, upgrade and repair of any PC and by using fluent troubleshooting methods and implementation of structured problem solving.
· Grew into an expert Windows technician via Windows 95, 98, NT and 2000 OS installation and setup.
· Created reliable Ethernet network connectivity by correctly installing many Cat5e cable runs, of up to 100 meters, above ceilings and in walls, in houses, office buildings and warehouses for a variety of clients.
