ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL CDC+ PARTICIPANTS AND REPRESENTATIVES
In accordance with the Emergency Plan issued on March 31, 2011, andthe Agency for Health Care Administration’s authority pursuant to Section 393.0661 (7), Florida Statutes, provider rates for all developmental disability Medicaid waiver services have been reduced by 15% between April 1, 2011, and June 30, 2011.
Your cost plan will continue to reflect the same services that were authorized prior to April 1, 2011, but the provider rate for each of these services will be reduced. APD is working on ABC system updates to implement these rate adjustments and will direct Consultants to provide you with the updated new authorizations once these system updates are complete.
Once your Consultant has provided you with your new authorized rates on ABC (ACPMAP screen), you will need to determine your new CDC+ monthly budget amount using the Budget Calculation Worksheet found in Appendix D-3 of the CDC+ Participant Notebook:(
When you have calculated your new monthly budget amount, please complete a Purchasing Plan Change with an effective date of April 1, 2011, detailing the changes necessary to match your new monthly budget. Claims submitted for payrolls starting April 1, 2011, must be submitted in accordance with the newly updated Purchasing Plan. For information on how to complete a Purchasing Plan Change, please refer to Appendix J of the CDC+ Participant Notebook.
If a Purchasing Plan Change is not received by the dates stated below, your service authorizations will be changed to Pending Status and may delay the processing of your outstanding payroll.Please submit your Purchasing Plan Change to the CDC+ Area Liaison as soon as possible to avoid any delays in processing your payroll.
Purchasing Plan Changes must be completed and signed by the consumer/representative and Consultant prior to being sent to the CDC+ Area Liaison for approval. Your Consultant must submit the Purchasing Plan Change to the CDC+ Area Liaison by the following dates.
Changes to the “Services” and/or “Cash” sections of the Purchasing Plan:
All Purchasing Plan Changesnecessary to match the new monthly budget amount which affect the Services and/or Cash sections of the Purchasing Plan must be submitted to the CDC+ Area Liaison before 5:00 P.M. (EST) on April 14, 2011.
Changes that only affect the “Savings” section of the Purchasing Plan:
All Purchasing Plan Changes necessary to match the new monthly budget amount which only affect the Savings section of the Purchasing Plan must be submitted to the CDC+ Area Liaison before 5:00 P.M. (EST) on April 19, 2011.
Once the Purchasing Plan Change has been approved, the Agency will update the Purchasing Plan Application to reflect these changes.
