Who are we?
The Lexington Road Church of God is a Spirit-filled Pentecostal congregation located at 2336 Lexington Road, Richmond, Kentucky spreading the message of Jesus Christ through Biblical teaching, Spirit led worship, and individual ministry.
Our Vision:“Knowing Him… To Make Him Known”
Our vision is to Know the love of Jesus and to make Him Known in our lives, our homes, our city, and the world.
Our Mission:
Our Mission is to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20: “Go and make disciples of all nations.”
We are passionate about ministering the Gospel in a way that is relevant to diverse individuals and their families. Our ministry focus is carried out through five Examples:
- Evangelism: to lead individuals into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. “For the Son of man is to come to save that which was lost.” (Matthew 18:11)
- Edification: to build believers in becoming devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. “Then He said to them all: “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)
- Equipping: to train believers to become effective ministers both within the church and to the world. “These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:8)
- Encouragement: to minister the healing power of Jesus Christ to all aspects of the believer’s life (spirit, mind, body). The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke4:18-19)
- Excellence: to glorify God by developing and maintaining a standard of excellence in all areas of ministry. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men…” (Colossians 3:23).
