Parent Drop-Off/Pick- Up Procedures
I am looking forward to another great school year! I just wanted to remind everyone of our Drop-Off/Pick-Up/Bus Oval procedures. I would also like to take this opportunity to encourage you to put your children on a bus!
Morning Procedures-NORTH OVAL
NORTH OVAL – Student Drop-Off/Pick-Up
Pre K Drop Off begins at 8:05 and ends at 8:20
K – 4 Drop Off: Cars may begin lining up at 8:20. We will begin unloading the students at 8:25.
*Please do not let your children out of the car before reaching the Loading/Unloading Zone. This will keep the flow of traffic moving much quicker. We have adults on duty to make sure the students are safely getting to the building.
*Please make sure your children are ready to exit the car. (Jackets on, backpacks and lunch bags nearby.)
K thru 4th grade: If they can exit the car without assistance, they can. If they need help we are happy to do so.
*If you choose to park your car and walk your student in, please cross at the designated crosswalk. The crosswalk is located by the large STOP sign near the Loading/Unloading Zones.
*If you get here between 8:50 and 9:00, Julie Smith is inside the first set of doors on the North side to write your student a Tardy Slip.
*If you are dropping your child off AFTER 9:00 a.m. please do so in the Center Oval.
Afternoon Procedures-NORTH OVAL
Pre K Pick-Up begins at 2:50 and ends at 3:15
K – 4 Pick-Up: Cars may begin lining up at 3:15. The bell dismisses our students at 3:30.
We have had all students K-4 loaded in cars and off school property by 3:45! Job well done! Thank you!
*If you choose to park your car and walk over to get your student, please cross at the designated crosswalk. The crosswalk is located by the large STOP sign near the Loading/Unloading Zones.
Center Oval – Bus Oval
*The Center Oval will be closed to all traffic from 8:15 am to 8:45 am. The Center Oval will also be closed to traffic between 3:15 – 3:45 pm.
*Per the policies of Jenks Public Schools, there is to be NO moving traffic in parking lots designated as bus ovals during the loading and unloading times.
*Our Southeast designated bus oval is our center oval. Please drop your student off in one of our other ovals. If you need to park and enter the building during the above times, you will need to park in the North or South Ovals.
*Parents who do not comply with the above regulations are jeopardizing the safety of our students.

South Oval
Morning Procedures-SOUTH OVAL
*Please enter the oval at the north end of the oval. We will double lane, just like we do in the North Oval, until you reach the loading/unloading zone. You will exit at the south end of the oval.
*K – 4 Drop Off: Cars may begin lining up at 8:20. We will begin unloading the students at 8:25.

THE CURBS THAT ARE PAINTED RED ARE TO DESIGNATE AREAS FOR EMERGENCY VEHICLES. WE MUST DESIGNATE THESE AREAS FOR QUICK ACCESS FOR THE FIRE ENGINES, AMBULANCES, AND POLICE CARS. WHEN YOU PARK YOUR CAR ON A RED CURB YOU ARE JEOPARDIZING THE SAFETY OF OUR STUDENTS AND STAFF.
For the safety of our students we are asking that you refrain from using your cell phone while dropping off or picking up your child.
