- Allow oral responses to written essay questions.
- Allow students to verbalize before writing.
- Use audio materials when necessary.
- Extend test-taking time.
- Modify homework assignments.
- Read tests aloud to students.
- Read directions aloud to students.
- Restate, reword, or clarify directions.
- Provide mathematics manipulatives to assist in understanding (i.e., counters, multiplication table, calculator, etc.).
- Restate test questions.
- Preferential seating.
- Untimed and/or extended test taking time.
- Modify written assignments.
- Provide students with study guides.
- Provide students with copies of notes.
- Redirect students to keep them focused.
