RE/MAX in Rhode Island Donates $5,000

to Hasbro Children’s Hospital

Providence, RI – December 4, 2012–RE/MAX in Rhode Islandrecently raised $5,000 forHasbro Children’s Hospital and the Children’s MiracleNetworkHospitalsat the 26thAnnual RE/MAX Open Golf Tournament. More than 150 people turned out for the eventheld in July at the Exeter Country Club.

“All of the RE/MAX team members that participated in this golf tournament deserve a big round of applause,” said Dan Breault, Executive Vice President and Regional Director of RE/MAX of New England. “This annual tournament has raised more than $50,000 for a variety of different causes throughoutRhode Islandand that is an enormous accomplishment that everyone should be proud of.”

“The RE/MAX Open Golf Tournament has become a long standing tradition within Rhode Island raising money for local charitable initiatives as well as allowing RE/MAX employees to give back to their community,” said Glenn Carpenter, RE/MAX Professionals in East Greenwich and co-event organizer since 1986.

An alliance of premier hospitals for children, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for more than 170 hospitals in North America. The network’s partner hospitals receive proceeds from donations made in each of their communities through more than 70 corporate sponsors. Since its inception in 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has raised more than $2.7 billion for children’s hospitals in the United States and Canada.

“Hasbro Children's Hospital is incredibly thankful for the long standing partnership we’ve had with RE/MAX of New England and RE/MAX in Rhode Island over the years,” said Karli Blossom,Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Program Director. “This funding will allow us to continue offering innovative programs and the latest treatment for the children in our community, in a facility that is designed just for them.”
