______BI 346 Biogeochemistry (3)

OR

______CH 334,337 Organic Chemistry (5)

______CH 335,340 Organic Chemistry (6)

Certain professional and graduate programs require additional upper division chemistry courses. See your academic advisor to make sure that you meet the necessary pre-requisite courses for admission to these programs

______PH 222,225 General Physics (6)

______PH 223,226 General Physics (6)

Biology Electives:

Complete a minimum of five upper division Biology electives (18 credits minimum), one of which must be a designated capstone research course:

______BI Upper Division Elective I

______BI Upper Division Elective II

______BI Upper Division Elective III

______BI Upper Division Elective IV

______BI Capstone Upper Division Elective V

NOTE: The following courses may not be used as upper division biology electives: BI 330, 380-389, 401-405, 409. A maximum of 3 credits from BI 407 and BI 408 may be applied to this requirement. Only 1 credit may be from BI 407. In addition, either Introductory Biochemistry (CH 350) or Biochemistry (CH 451) may be used for 3 biology elective credits and Biogeochemistry (BI 346) may be applied as an elective if it is not used to fulfill the upper division chemistry requirement.

NOTE: Completing an Honors Capstone (BI402H and BI404H) also meets the capstone requirement if it is done in addition to the five upper division electives. Admission to the department honors program is required – please see your advisor.
