Amending O. Reg. 515/09

(ENGAGEMENT WITH THE FRANCOPHONE COMMUNITY UNDER SECTION 16 OF THE ACT)

1.Clause 1 (b) ofOntario Regulation 515/09 is amended by striking out “engaging” and substituting “engaging, including collaborating with”.

2.(1)Subsection 2 (3) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(3)The Minister may select an entity to act as the French language health planning entity for the geographic area ofmore than one local health integration network.

(2)Subsection 2 (5) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(5)If a French language health planning entityfails to meet the criteria set out in subsection (2) or otherwise fails to fulfil its obligations as a French language health planning entity, the Minister, in consultation with the local health integration network, may cancel the selection of the entity as a French language health planning entity and, in that case, shall select another entity to act as the French language health planning entity.

3.Sections 4 and 5 of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:

Planning

4.Each local health integration network shall engage, including collaborating with, the French language health planning entity selected under section 2 for the geographic area of the network about the following matters:

1.Developing the strategies referred to in clause 3 (1) (e).

2.Incorporating the strategies developed under paragraph 1 into the integrated health service plan for the local health system, as appropriate.

3.With respect to French language health services strategies, implementing the integrated health service plan and other planning priorities of the network.

Reporting

5.Each local health integration network shall report, in its annual report, on its engagement and planning activitiesunder sections 3 and 4.

Commencement

4.This Regulation comes into force on the later of October 2, 2017 and the day it is filed.
