REPLACEMENT VALUE FOR LIVESTOCK

Replacement value: $200 for sheep and $35 for ducks. The replacement value for other livestock on the premises is: cattle is $1,500; alpaca $15,000; and guardian dogs is $2,000. In addition, owners, handlers, and/or agents are responsible for any veterinary fees incurred relating to the injury or death of said livestock caused by his/her/their dog(s). Payment of the replacement cost is immediately due and payable.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS

Dogs must be kept on leash or in crates except when competing. Dogs may not be tied to a fence, etc. Please keep dogs away from the livestock.

Un-entered dogs are not allowed on herding site.

The livestock guardian dogs on the premises are working dogs and should be ignored.

There is a fine ($50.00) for anyone driving on the grass or lawn.

All driveways are single lane… please use caution.

Please keep all children under control and away from farm equipment, livestock, and restricted areas.

No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Telephone, telegraph, faxed, incomplete or unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries cannot be accepted without entry fees.

Entries not on an official herding AKC entry form or photocopies of the entry forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the official herding AKC entry form cannot be accepted.

Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian, judge or tester or barred from competition by action of the Test/Trial Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the test/trial, no refund of entry will be made. Extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to, snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme temperatures, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, livestock, exhibitors, judges and spectators. The well being of the dogs, livestock, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance. In the event it is necessary to cancel or stop this test/trial before completion, no refund of entry will be made.

Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. The secretary will add a collection fee of $20.00 to the amount of each retuned check from the same exhibitor and may result in the maker’s entries being accepted on a cash only basis.

No dogs may be entered in two classes on the same course with the same kind of stock under the same judge at the trial.

Bring your crates and appropriate wear for the weather. You will need chairs, umbrellas, canopies or whatever else you may wish to pack to be comfortable. Port-a-potties are available. Water is available for the dogs.

General parking is allowed only in the public parking lot. Handicapped parking is located near the main arena.

The replacement value for damage to the facility (gates, obstacles, buckets, etc.) will be the cost to replace the item.

AGREEMENT

I (we) acknowledge that the “Rules Applying to Registration and Discipline” and the “Regulations for Herding Tests & Trials” have been made available to me (us), and that I (we) agree that the club holding this Herding Test or Trial has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the Herding Test or Trial and of the opportunity to have the dog tested or judged and to win ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or the lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim or loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the Herding Test or Trial premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause.

Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (08r4selves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequences of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons.

I (we) agree that a cause of action, controversy or claim arising out of or related to the entry, exhibition or attendance at the event between AKC and/or the event-giving club and myself (ourselves) or as to the construction, interpretation and effect of this agreement shall be settled by arbitration pursuant to the applicable rules of the American Arbitration Association. However, prior to arbitration all applicable AKC Bylaws, Rules, Regulations and Procedures must first be followed as set forth in the AKC Charter and Bylaws, Rules, Regulations, published policies and guidelines.

I (we) will pay for any livestock injuries or replacement value in the event of death of any livestock by my (our) dog. In case of any injury to any stock caused by the dog entered, I (we) will assume total responsibility for any damage. I (we) will assume total responsibility for any damage. I (we) agree to pay the full market value of the injured animal in case of serious injury, or the veterinarian bill if the injury is slight.
