I. Safety-

1)SEL- There is curriculum for each grade level (K-2, 3-5 & 6-8) Interactive-work on for 15-20 min a day

2) SEL Rally-Wed., Aug. 30th Theme song-“Can’t Stop the Feeling”

Parents & students-You matter. You belong.

3) After school monitoring-All middle school teachers must be on duty. The back area is a concern.

II. College & Career readiness-

1)Checkpoint Data-Different than PLC. Different from checkpoints

Data-Math & Reading

Individual SE. Overall % goal is 30 minutes.

2) Sub-population differentiation-SPED is losing 2 weeks of instruction. Asking for guidance.

Takes them 4 days to test once Benchmarks start. Consolidate on

testing days. Teach more, test less.

III. Highly Qualified-

1)T-TESS-Gave out waiver, Changed criteria.

New waiver-you need to score 9 dimensions to be proficient.

Waivers by Friday.

2)K-8 Middle School PLC

3)Professional Duties (Dress/Attendance)-Professionalism being enforced.

Teachers must be in attendance majority of time.

No flip-flops /open toe shoes

IV. Community Partnerships-

1)Commitment to Community-Mrs. Flores, Mrs. Valverde & Mrs. Ramirez are in charge of

Partners in Ed.

Must go thru them for donations & fill out donation forms.

2)PIE Updatdes-Donations & Judges are needed for the elem. Science Fair on September 22nd

(Drinks/food, volunteers) Not sure if AM or PM

V. Accountability for all-

1)Tier/Distinction-Tier II-2 Gold Star. Not made safeguard.

Dropped in range from 88-73. Need to move forward.

2) Attendance- We need to support students. If students are absent 2 or more times per week,

report it to Mr. Sherwood. Personal phone calls will be made by admin.

Additional Information/Notes: Don’t forget to decorate your bulletin boards, use vocabulary words, especially to help the LEP students.

EPAC-Mr. Rodriguez: Bond was passed. Website is where to find information under Bond 2017.

Biggest projects-Remodel Socorro HS, add athletic facility, build 2 elementary schools and 1 middle school. Build a smaller SAC to accommodate games on Fridays and not Thursdays. Also, improvements on baseball & softball fields. Taxes will increase per year for Socorro district. Early voting October 23rd

and voting date is November 7th.

Tutoring has opened up-Minimum of 10 students per teacher, need lesson plans & time sheets

Elementary give them the cards to rank students to see exactly how to monitor your students.

SPED-Missing 3 computers

K-no feedback

1st-Can students bring balls to school. Need computers on wheels (COW). Goal is to get COWS

2nd-Wanted to know if copies of lesson plans can get eliminated so binder is not too bilky.

3rd-no feed back

4th- Bathroom passes are a concern. Asked if they can teach SS and Science every other day. No, due to not meeting state standards. 30 min everyday of SS & Science. Extra materials need to be picked up by custodians.

5th-Concerns on schedule time allocation.

6th-Lanyards for students

7th-Receiving too many interruptions in the classroom from the front office. Will ask Martha and Lucy in office.

8th-SEL-Go Noodle concerns on yoga modifying. Student council board.
