Title:Volunteer Recruitment Officer
Location:Based at Ty Davies, Tawe Business Village, Enterprise Park, Swansea
Hours:35 hours per week
Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m., Friday 9.00 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
Some out of hours work may be required, for which time off in lieu will be given.
This post is to cover Maternity Leave
Salary:£21,374 pa
Travel Expenses:45p per mile plus 5p per passenger
Annual Leave:26 days p.a. and customary Bank Holidays.

The post is subject to a probationary period of 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- The marketing for and recruitment of volunteers for all services.
- Managing the volunteer recruitment process, including acting as a DBS Counter Signatory and delivering the regular welcome sessions.
- Producingand distributing Baywatch quarterly, the volunteer newsletter.
- Managing digital content including producing content and posting on the Volunteer Face Book page and volunteering website pages of the charity’s website.
- Contributing to the review and development of volunteer policies and practices based on developments in the field of volunteering locally and nationally
- Acting as the lead for the Investing in Volunteering Quality Mark
- The maintenance of accurate volunteer records, digitally and in paper form
- The production of management reports for the senior management team, external partners and funders as instructed by the Chief Executive Officers
- The production and delivery of the annual volunteer recruitment plan
- Attendance at 6 weeklyOperational Management meetings, plus other internal and external meetings as directed
- Assisting in the development of funding applications to support volunteering activity
- To undertake any other relevant duties as may be requested from time to time by the Executive Management Team, including attendance at occasional out-of-hours events
This job description may be amended following discussion and agreement between the Board of Directors Age Cymru Swansea Bay, Executive Management Team and Post Holder

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Skills/Experience/Knowledge/Qualifications / Essential / DesirableQualified to degree level /
Experience of recruiting volunteers /
Trained to POVA level 2 or above /
Knowledge of marketing techniques including digital marketing /
Proven track record in managing customer service /
Ability to work alone with minimum supervision /
Ability to produce accurate management reports /
Ability to produce relevant content for social media and website pages /
Experience of outcome based model of service delivery /
Experience of managing quality assurance procedures /
IT literate including digital record keeping /
Ability to communicate effectively /
A demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and data protection /
A demonstrable understanding of Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discriminatory Practice /
Welsh speaker /
A full driving licence and access to a car /
A demonstrable commitment to safeguarding older people /
A commitment to continuous personal development /
