Sealed Bids for Pointe at Island Lake will be received at the office of the Charter Township of Ypsilanti until 11:00 am local time, on July 22, 2008, by the office of the Township Clerk located at 7200 S. Huron River Drive, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. The approximate quantities of major items of work involved are as follows:
307 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt (13A) placed at 2” depth
60 feet of Class 54 Ductile Iron water main
77 feet of Ductile Iron water main bored and jacked within a 16” casing pipe
126 feet of 29” x 42” elliptical storm sewer
The Contract Documents for this project are on file and may be examined on and after 2:00 pm, July 7, 2008, at the following locations: the office of the ENGINEER, Orchard, Hiltz, & McCliment, Inc., 34000 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150; area offices of McGraw-Hill Construction/ReproMAX, 36060 Industrial Road, Livonia, MI 48150; Reed Construction Data at www.reedepr.com; the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM), 43636 Woodward, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302-3204; Construction News Service of Michigan at www.michiganconstruction.net; and Charter Township of Ypsilanti, 7200 S. Copies thereof may be obtained on or after 2:00 pm, local time, July 7, 2008, at the office of the ENGINEER, Orchard, Hiltz & McCliment, Inc., 34000 Plymouth Road, Livonia, MI 48150. A fee of forty dollars ($40.00) non-refundable will be charged for each set of Contract Documents. An additional fee of ten dollars ($10.00) non-refundable will be charged for each set of Contract Documents which are mailed.
Bid Security in the form of a Certified or Cashier's Check or Bid Bond for a sum no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each Bid.
The Township reserves the right to accept any Bid, reject any Bid, or waive irregularities in Bids.
No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of the Bids.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project on site at 2:00 pm on July 17, 2008. The site is located on the northwest corner of Huron River Drive and Textile Road in the Charter Township of Ypsilanti.
