Linksoft is a telecommunications network infrastructure solutions provider with a workforce comprising of over 300 highly-skilled and experienced permanent staff and over 1000 contract staff. Linksoft is a subsidiary of the Linksoft Group of Companies, which delivers turnkey solutions to clients, through offices in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Ghana, India, and Nigeria.
Human Resources & Administration Manager
Summary of Role: Developing and implementing local HR strategies in line with organizational strategies, while partnering with business units to build a competent, highly motivated and performance driven workforce, through attracting, training, rewarding and retaining identified talents. I manage a team of 2 human resource personnel, 2 Administration personnel and 1 IT administrator. This is a Senior Managerial role with a direct report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Responsible for Staff recruitment, Selection and Placement, in line with the organization’s business objectives.
§ Responsible for Policies and Procedures formulation, development and implementation, thereby providing direction to employees on the organizational expectations, core values and code of conduct.
§ Responsible for companywide manpower forecasting and planning annually, which is being reviewed quarterly.
§ Preparation of HR & Admin annual Budget. I manage a budget of about $3.5million for both the Human Resource and Administration functions.
§ Developed the Performance Management system, ensuring quarterly evaluation of staff performance across business units, including rewarding good performance and monitoring for improvement of under performers.
§ Developed and implemented Training and Development programs, through identifying training needs in collaboration with Unit and Departmental heads, and also in alignment with staff performance appraisals.
§ Responsible for employee benefits and compensation.
§ Responsible for implementation of Group HR strategy in line with local requirements and reporting.
§ Established a structured grievance system to ensure fair treatment of all employees, dealing with employee complaints and problem resolution. Constituted a Disciplinary Panel for open and fair hearing of disciplinary cases, while managing the disciplinary process to ensure fair hearing, corrective action plan or sanctions as the case may be.
§ Managing staff exits and handling exit interviewing.
§ Managing all expatriates processes from recruitment and placement, to induction and on-boarding, overseeing all immigration processes for visas, work permits, resident permit for accompanying family e.t.c.
§ Ensuring full compliance to the local labour law and working condition; strict adherence to statutory requirements such as Pension scheme, National Housing Fund scheme, Pay As You Earn e.t.c.
§ Preparation of HR and Admin monthly departmental activity report to the Chief Executive Officer.

§ Set up the Human Resource and Administration department from start up, growing the department from 2 employees to 5 competent and highly skilled employees. Providing strong human resource support to employees and the organization as a whole.

Summary of Role: Entrenching all Human Resource strategies implemented in the bank, in the 3 subsidiaries namely, Diamond Mortgage Ltd, Diamond Capital Ltd, Diamond Pension Funds Ltd and ADIC insurance Ltd, in liaison with their respective HR representatives and business unit heads, while aligning these strategies with the individual business goals. Key Responsibilities:
§ Handled periodic review and update of manpower base of the Bank whilst maintaining bank wide vacancy status; Determining manning levels bank wide.
§ Responsible for interviewing and ensuring adherence to competency based interviewing techniques.
§ Develop and implement new hire on-boarding processes and procedures; driving the Buddy scheme, to ensure new hires adapt quickly to their new environment.
§ Provided support in entrenching HR strategies in the subsidiaries, targeted at ensuring HR practices were standardized across board.
§ Handle monthly payroll for Graduate Trainees, National Youth Service Corps members and Interns.

Summary of Role: This role is responsible for manpower forecasting and planning, carrying out recruitment activities for the all job grades in the bank, in liaison with the business heads, and the head of manpower planning and recruitment. This role has a direct report to the Head, Manpower Planning & Recruitment.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Responsible for recruitment, selection & staff placements. I handled all Experienced, Entry level, National Youth Service Corps and Internship recruitment; candidates short listing, graduate trainees pre employment testing, all interviewing processes and placements.
§ Responsible for the pre employment medical testing in liaison with approved medical s centres.
§ I drove a comprehensive induction scheme for the bank for both graduate trainees and experienced staff, which includes all documentations processes.
§ Forecasting of manpower requirements in liaison with Branch development group and Business units.
