Aeries Grade Check
All grade checks are due on Monday, and ideally before your Academic Success class begins. Weekly grade checks are worth 20 points on Monday, 15 points on Tuesday, 10 points on Wednesday and so on.
Compose an email with the following:
o Address the email to me (@sduhsd.net)
o C/c your parents: C/c literally means “carbon copy.” Individuals who are C/ced on an email receive a copy of the email.
o In the subject line write, “Grade Check” and the date it’s due
o Open your email with a greeting
o Include your current grade percentages from Aeries for each class
o Write a reflective statement about how you feel you are doing
§ Do you feel good about your grades?
§ Is there anything you can do differently next week?
§ Are you faced with a challenging situation and do you need help?
o This is a perfect opportunity for you to communicate with me about how things are going.

Good Afternoon Mrs. Ramirez,
Here are my grades for this week:
English 86.3%
Biology 78.5%
French 95.2%
Academic Success 96.3%
Overall I am fairly satisfied with my grades; however, I am disappointed with my recent Bio test score. Next time,
I should make sure to complete the entire study guide, so I can know all of the terms. Also, my English grade is
lower this week because I didn't turn in my Lit Letter #3. I know you always prompt me to do my homework, but
when I get home, it's like I completely forget about anything for school.
Things are going well at home. My brother just left for college and it's weird not having around.. I am
excited that next weekend my family and I are taking a trip to Santa Barbara to go visit him in SB.
Your student,
