BOARD MEETING
August 31st 2016
Todd Ulve called the meeting to order at 7:00pm on at the City Arena. Members in attendance were Brian Ball, Kelly Goskeson, Matt Stay, Troy Prescher, Brad Loch, Robin Witham, Chad Severtson, Troy Neist, Matt Erickson, Matt Hoelscher, Matt Tubbs, Paul Kenis, Alex Johnston, Travis Quam, Matt Stay

SECRETARY’S REPORT: A motion was made by Troy Neist to accept the July 2016 Secretary’s Report, seconded by Brian Ball.
TREASURER’S REPORT: A motion was made by Brian Ball to accept the July 2016 Treasurer’s Report seconded by Matt Hoelscher.

CHARITABLE GAMBLING: A motion was made by Brian Ball to accept the Estimated and Actual Expenses for July 2016, seconded by Troy Neist. A motion was made by Brian Ball to accept the Estimated Expense report for September 2016, seconded by Matt Hoelscher.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
ACE/Coach: Set remaining coaching positions after tryouts
Scheduling: working on practice times. Mites Wednesdays. Some Sundays for teams.
Recruitment & Retention: N/A
Sponsorship: N/A
Fundraising: Aaron organizing Papa Murphy’s fundraiser for registration days
Equipment: new jerseys are in
Tournaments: 3 tourneys full (paid). Most are full, just waiting on payments.
Concessions: look into new upright freezer for store room. 4 seasons coffee issues-Alex Johnston will look into it. Toss old equipment 9/23- 2 microwaves and hot dog roller
MN District 9: associations will be getting some free goalie gear for mites. Scheduling meeting Oct. 23 @ 1:00pm. Scheduling for Sq. & U10 Nov. 7 @ 7:00. Albert Lea included in a trial of resurfacing every two periods for Bantam level- motion by Todd Ulve, seconded by Matt Hoelscher.
Girl Coordinator: Oct. 8 or 9 dates for girls only try hockey free
Hockey Advisory Committee: will meet the week of 9/26

Skating clinic: Alex Johnston presented on skating coach out of Sioux Falls. He would come to Albert Lea to work with Association
Association Banking: Brad is meeting with Home Federal Bank. He will have an update at the next meeting
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be held Wednesday September 28th 2016 at The City Arena at 7pm.
