Please ensure that you complete the personal statement section of the application form by giving examples of how your knowledge, skills and experience is relevant to each point on the Person Specification. If you are unable to complete a heading then you may leave it blank.

Successful applicants will be contacted for interviews which will be held in September. If you are not contacted by 22nd September then unfortunately you have not been selected for interview.

Who are Social Interest Group?
Penrose Options and Equinox care are members of a charity called Social Interest Group (SIG) which was formed in 2014 to provide effective support to it’s members. SIG carries out recruitment for it’s group members.
Who will I work for?
You will be employed by Penrose Options, and by Equinox care, to carry out relief bank work at Penrose Options or Equinox Care services.
Where would I be working?
Penrose Options and Equinox care have a number of schemes in South London and the majority of work is based in Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Sutton. You can choose whether or not to accept a shift based on the location.
Can I choose where and when I work?
Penrose Options and Equinox care will offer a variety of relief bank shifts to cover for staff absences, so there will be a regular choice of locations and shifts such as nights, days, weekends, weekdays. You can choose whether or not to accept a shift based on the hours or location.
Can you guarantee shifts?
Unfortunately we cannot guarantee to offer shifts, times or hours per week, as the relief bank staff cover a variety of absences like sickness and annual leave. However, we do monitor the hours offered and accepted to ensure that relief bank staff are given a fair choice of shifts.
Will I be giving personal care?
Each scheme is different, in some schemes you will be required to give personal care and others, you will not.
My DBS certificate has a number of items listed on it. Should I apply?
Yes - You must fill in the DBS Declaration form accurately, and your case will be assessed on an individual basis. We will not automatically reject your application, we will base our decision on the needs of the business and your particular circumstance.
