Short information on the Receiving Organization’s Profile (or the office that accepts the trainee) / Set up in 2007, Europe for Business (EFB) is a high-growth knowledge intensive company, doubling its turnover each year and expanding its operations in the whole Europe. The growth of EFB can be explained by the innovative and specific communication and dissemination services and training activities that the company offers, by supporting Industrial and Research Organisations and Universities in defining and implementing their innovative communication and research strategies, through the usage of advanced methodologies and ICT solutions. Headquartered in London, EFB is made up of a pool of professional consultants with consolidated experience in international working environments (Europe, Latin America, USA).
In the recent years EFB has been in charge of both the dissemination and communication and training activities of several EU funded projects thus boosting the communication impact of research activities in several fields. EFB is working in close partnership with partners to achieve outstanding sustainable results and implement winning EU projects. Throughout the years EFB team gained experience in conducting various trainings and dissemination activities from networking activities in communicating with external partners at European and International level, to setting up strategic communication and dissemination plans, assessment and activities to efficiently promote the European research. The other part of activity is ensuring high quality of project results, key events and deliverables.

Place offered (traineeship description including duties, responsibilities and tasks of the trainee) / The trainee will be asked to:
·  prepare ongoing projects communication materials and reports;
·  prepare articles, press releases, audiovisual material (provided that they have their own equipment) about scientific issues;
·  monitor the news on a regular basis on the ongoing thematic and collect information for the websites and the newsletters;
·  research and assist in updating the projects websites;
·  ask for interviews to researchers and contact editors and journalists to publish their pieces;
·  support in the organization of project events and workshops;
·  support in updating the mailing list of journalists based in EU countries and assist in keeping the relationships, the company has already established with them;
·  stay in contact with the Brussels community and environment;
·  attend project meeting and conferences at EU level, meet other journalists and expert in the sector from other EU projects;
·  help with a broad range of communications tasks supporting the work of the Project Managers in researching and drafting new project proposals for the Horizon 2020, EuropeAid.

Duration of traineeship / 6 months/ possible to start from 1st September 2016
Working hours per week / 40 hours
Profile required (type of degree, level) / Master degree in Political Science, Communication, Business Administration
Special skills required (use of Office, specific software…) / Interpersonal skills:
·  Ability to work both independently and in a team (with people from different cultural background);
·  Ability to take initiatives and be creative;
IT skills
·  Uses MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point software in a proficient manner;
·  Knowledge of Indesign and Photoshop would be an asset.
Planning skills
·  Planning skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings with project partners and to agree common plans and objectives;
·  Understanding of project cycles.
Language requirements / Clear, concise style and proofreading techniques;
